Skin-Refreshing Treatment (dermabrasion, injection and chemical peeling)

It is a procedure that results in the elimination of wrinkles on the face, especially in the area of the upper lip, the forehead and lines along the nose. For example, these wrinkles can be filled with Reviferm, Juvederm or Restylane (hyaluronic acid).

Botox is the best substance used for the forehead (Botox = Botilium). Toxin Type A is a naturally produced bacteria used for years now as a medication in neurology. It has proved its efficacy in the treatment of muscular cramps.

Dermabrasion

This is a method that superficially removes the upper part of the skin. This allows the blurring of some wrinkles. It is often used to treat deep acne scars. Dermabrasion can be performed on small areas of the skin or on the entire face. The results can be compared to chemical peeling or to the treatment of the superficial layer of skin by laser.

Partial treatment of the face is performed under local anaesthetic. For the entire face, a general anaesthetic is recommended.

Scabs form on the treated areas, which fall off after about 5 to 7 days. The skin underneath is soft, smooth, pinkish and very sensitive to light. (Pay attention to UV!) Make-up can help cover the treated skin area until the skin has healed after a few weeks.

Chemical Peeling

Chemical peeling is used to eliminate blotches or marks specifically on the face. These marks on the surface of the skin are also called age spots.

Different types of treatments are used, depending on the depth of the marks, to reach the skin. There are different substances used for this procedure, such as glycolic acid, trichloroacetic acid (TCA) and carbolic acid.
